About Nick Buchanan

Nick Buchanan is a self-taught artist originally from a small town in Western New York. He is a young artist still in his early 30's. Nick now resides in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Soon after Nick moved he found himself routinely walking through the Old Town Scottsdale art galleries during the weekly Thursday night Art Walk. This inspired Nick to purchase a set of oil paints off the internet and get started.

Nick paints mostly in oil paints and occasionally acrylic. He enjoys painting city skylines or cityscapes from places he has lived or visited. Nick also enjoys painting landscapes and scenery dominated by trees. 

Even though Nick works full time he finds time to paint in the evenings and on the weekends. Nick hopes to one day have his paintings represented in the same Old Town Scottsdale galleries that inspired him to start painting.
